Monitoring the response of patients to treatment with HAART
With the encouragement of the National STD and AIDS Program and the Ministry of Health, teachers and students of PPGBAIP participate in the project titled "National Network of Viral Load and TCD4 / CD8 + Cell Count". This is the monitoring of the evolution of infection and the response to treatment with HAART in patients with HIV-1 treated by SUS. The project is coordinated by Professor Antonio Carlos Rosário Vallinoto and has existed since 1997.
Cooperation with HEMOPA
For more than eight years, the PPGBAIP has signed a cooperation agreement with the Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology of Pará (HEMOPA) and also with the Evandro Chagas Institute (IEC), through which the Program has contributed to the qualification of technicians and research institutions. Enabling the insertion of these professionals in the scope of Post-Graduation, through a special selection process for admission to the Masters and Doctoral courses of the Program. These partnerships are the result of the involvement of the PPGBAIP with actions aimed at training the human resources of organs linked to the health area and research institutions, which demonstrates the Program's mobilization power in response to demands in society for improvements in services provided by professionals of health.
